Mission Statement: The Paradise Foundation of Delaware for ADHD in Boys is dedicated to improving the lives of Middle and High School age males who have Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). We strive to address the needs of the disproportionate number of Black and inner city boys with ADHD by fostering a culturally relevant and socially inclusive environment where they can thrive as valuable members of society. Our organization is committed to promoting advocacy and support before and during IEP meetings, access to quality resources, and evidence-based strategic activities to maximize the potential and quality of life for those affected by these conditions.

Through collaborative partnerships, we work to advocate for those with ADHD, reduce stigmatization, improve the development of IEP’s in schools, and promote acceptance and understanding in all aspects of social involvement. Our organization also recognizes the importance of research and innovation in improving the public’s and parent’s understanding and we encourage interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge-sharing among diagnosticians, teachers, practitioners, and even employers when necessary.

Ultimately, our nonprofit strives to empower individuals with ADHD to reach their full potential thereby preventing them from becoming statistics in the school-to-prison pipeline, promoting social independence, and being able to amiably integrate and become leaders of change within society. We envision a world where individuals with ASD and ADHD are valued, celebrated, and provided with the necessary support to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives.
